Configuring the printer network and connecting the printer to other devices (USB cable connection without network connection_applicable to printing stores and other retail stores)

If you would like to use the printer as a commercial device in your printing store or in other types of store, connect the printer to a computer using a USB cable, without connecting the printer to a network.

1. Visit the HUAWEI Support website (https://consumer.huawei.com/en/support/), and enter the name of your product in the search bar to search for the product. Select your product from the search results to go to the product service and support details page. Select Software Download, and download the Huawei Print client installation package that corresponds with your computer system.
   

   This guide uses Windows as an example to describe how to connect to and use a printer. The steps are similar, but vary depending on the specific operating system. Please perform the steps by following on-screen instructions for your specific case.

   

2. Unzip the installation package, find the setup file, and double-click it to start the installation.

   

3. Use the USB cable that came with the printer to connect your computer to the printer. Insert the USB-B end of the USB cable into the USB-B port of the printer, and the USB-A end into the USB-A port of your computer. On the computer, check the user agreement box, and click With a USB cable.

   

4. On the Configure printer network screen, click SKIP. The system will then skip printer network configuration and only allow USB connection.

   

5. Once the connection is complete, you will be able to select Copy or Scan. If you have multiple HUAWEI printers, click ADD PRINTER, select With a USB cable, and perform the same steps to connect to other printers.
   

   Do not disconnect the USB cable, otherwise the printer cannot be used.

   

6. To print a file, open it in the file app, press Ctrl+P, and select the HUAWEI printer (printer name, such as HUAWEI PixLab X1) as prompted. Set the printing parameters, and then start printing.
