Video calling feature on HUAWEI WATCH KIDS 4 Pro

Feel more connected with video calling using the kids watch.

 
  • Before using this feature, update the kids watch to the latest version.
  • Video calls can only be made with admins and friends with the icon.

    To manage video call permission between the kids watch and watch friends, open the HUAWEI FamCare app, go to Devices > Chats & calls, and toggle on Allow video calls with non-admins.

  • If the watch isn't connected to Wi-Fi, video calls will use mobile data from the watch's SIM card. Each minute of video calling uses about 8 MB of data, so make sure you have sufficient mobile data available.

Making a video call from the kids watch

Swipe left on the kids watch home screen to find Phone, tap it, choose the contact you wish to call, and tap Video call to start a call.

Answering a video call from the kids watch

  • Answering a video call by a friend

    Tap on the kids watch to answer the call or tap to reject the call.

  • Answering a video call on the phone (admins)

    Once logged in to the HUAWEI FamCare app, an admin can decide to answer or reject the call directly within the app on their phone.

    If the admin is using a HUAWEI phone:
    1. Answer the call using HUAWEI FamCare if the app has been logged in to on the phone.
    2. Answer the call using MeeTime if the HUAWEI FamCare app has not been logged in to on the phone, while MeeTime has been activated.
    3. If the admin is using multiple phones, and if HUAWEI FamCare on one and MeeTime on the other ring at the same time, the admin can choose either one to answer the call.

Making a video call to the kids watch from a phone

Admins need to use the HUAWEI ID linked to the kids watch to log in to HUAWEI FamCare or MeeTime on their phone.

  1. Admins: Open HUAWEI FamCare, tap Communication at the bottom, and tap next to the kids watch.
  2. Tap on the kids watch to answer the call or tap to reject the call.

Admins using a HUAWEI phone can also use the MeeTime app to make video calls.

  1. Open MeeTime on your phone, and tap Contacts.
  2. Select the contact you wish to call, and go to its details screen.
  3. Tap to make a video call, or tap to make a MeeTime voice call.
  4. Tap on the kids watch to answer the call or tap to reject the call.
