My HUAWEI watch falsely reports a storm warning
| My HUAWEI watch falsely reports a storm warning |
Problem
The watch displays a storm warning, but the weather is clear and there is no rainy weather forecasts.
Cause
The device predicts stormy weather based on changes in ambient air pressure, whose rate is influenced by factors such as season, region, and complex wind patterns. In some areas, the pressure change rate in winter is higher than in other seasons. If the warning threshold is set too low, this may result in false alarms.
Solution
By default, the storm warning frequency is set to 4 hPa/3 hr. You are advised to increase the warning frequency to reduce the probability of false alarms. For details, press the Up button on your watch to access the main menu, go to Barometer > Settings > Pressure drop. The warning information is for reference only, and mainly reflects the continuous pressure drop frequency in the last three hours. When your device displays a storm warning, please use the weather information in conjunction with the warning information. Thank you for your understanding and support.

1. This feature is mainly designed for air pressure monitoring at a fixed outdoor location (such as during a field camp), but not for indoor scenarios or certain outdoor scenarios like in a moving vehicle.
2. Other scenarios that may trigger storm warnings include entering and leaving swimming pools or confined spaces, and taking lifts or other sealed tools.
3. The daily variation of ambient air pressure depends on the meteorological conditions and geographical location. Generally, the daily variation of air pressure ranges from 1 to 10 hPa. In high-altitude areas, the daily variation of air pressure may be greater. In addition, the daily variation of air pressure is also affected by the season and weather changes.
