My HUAWEI computer cannot charge or charges slowly in low temperature environments

Problem

• The computer cannot charge or charges slowly in low temperature environments.
• When the computer is brought from a low-temperature environment to a room temperature environment and quickly connected to a power adapter for charging, the battery charging icon in the lower right corner repeatedly shows a charging disconnection pattern. This phenomenon persists for a while and then disappears automatically.

Cause

The recommended charging environment temperature for computers is 0°C to 40°C. To ensure optimal usage safety, this product is designed with the following battery safeguards:

• Your device does not charge when the ambient temperature is below 0°C.

• When the ambient temperature is higher than 0°C and lower than 10°C, the charging current is limited. Charging may slow down or temporarily pause.

Solution

1. Place the computer in a warm environment. When the ambient temperature is higher than 10°C, the computer will charge normally.
2. If the issue persists, back up your data, and take your device and proof of purchase to a nearby Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
