HUAWEI earphones remain connected to my Bluetooth device even after I close the case |
If your FreeBuds/FreeArc/FreeClip/WATCH Buds earphones remain connected to the Bluetooth device after you've closed the charging case, perform the following steps.
- If you're unable to find or connect to your earphones, see Unable to connect HUAWEI FreeBuds or FreeLace series earphones to a phone/tablet.
- If you don't close the charging case after placing the earphones inside, your earphones will remain connected. Place the earphones in the charging case and close the case. The earphones will automatically disconnect from the device after 5 seconds.
- Check the battery level of the charging case: If you are using FreeBuds earphones, check whether the charging case has run out of power. If so, closing the case will not disconnect the earphones from the device. If the case is out of power, charge it at your earliest convenience. If you are using WATCH Buds earphones, swipe down from the status bar on the watch, and check whether the watch is out of power.
- Check the indicator status:
- FreeBuds series/FreeArc/FreeClip earphones: Take the earphones out of the charging case and place them into the charging case again. If the inner indicator does not turn on, check and wipe the metal contacts at the bottom of the charging case, and make sure that the inner indicator turns on when the earphones are placed into the case. Then check whether the earphones can be properly disconnected after they are placed into the charging case and the case is closed.
- WATCH Buds earphones: Swipe down from the status bar on the watch, and check whether the earphones have been placed in the case.
- Restore the earphones to their factory settings.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
