Problem
- The user cannot hear anything during WeChat or Skype virtual calls, games, or music playback, or cannot adjust the volume using the volume bar or by swiping on the earbuds when the earbuds are connected to PCs.
- No sound plays, or sound is played through the speaker when HUAWEI earbuds are connected to PCs.
- The playback device cannot be selected or there is no device in the PC playback device list when the earbuds are connected to PCs.
Solution
- The Windows 7 system is no longer maintained. Therefore, HUAWEI earbuds may fail to connect to a PC running Windows 7 via Bluetooth. It is recommended that you update your PC to a version later than Windows 7, or use a Bluetooth adapter for connection.
- Pair the earbuds to the PC.

- Uninstall the Bluetooth driver.
Uninstalling a driver may cause the failure of certain features on your PC. Exercise caution when performing this operation.
- Right-click the start icon, go to Device Manager > Bluetooth, right-click Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) or Realtek Bluetooth Adapter, and select Uninstall device.
- On the displayed warning dialog box, select the box next to Delete the driver software for this device, and click Uninstall to completely uninstall the driver.
- Restart the PC.
- Right-click the start icon, go to Device Manager > Bluetooth, right-click Intel(R) Wireless Bluetooth(R) or Realtek Bluetooth Adapter, and select Uninstall device.
- Update the Bluetooth driver.
Download and update the Bluetooth driver on the PC official website, and pair the earbuds to the PC again. Taking a HUAWEI PC as an example, use Huawei PC Manager to check for and update the Bluetooth driver. To do so, perform the following operations.
- Open Huawei PC Manager and go to .
- If a driver update is detected, click UPDATE to download and update the driver.
- After the driver update is complete, if the message "Restart to apply changes" is displayed, save your data and restart the PC.
Other brands: Visit the PC official website, enter the support page, and download the latest Bluetooth driver. For example, for Lenovo PCs, search for "Lenovo" on the browser. Click Support and download the target driver.
- Set the output/input device of the PC and adjust the volume.

- On the PC, right-click the sound icon in the lower right corner and choose Open Sound settings.
- Set the output device to Earbuds (HUAWEI XXXX Stereo) and the input device to Earbuds (HUAWEI XXXX Hands-Free AG Audio).
- After the output device is set to the target device, you can click the sound icon in the lower right corner and drag the volume bar to adjust the volume.
- HUAWEI XXXX Stereo is the media (stereo) channel of the earbuds, which is for video, music, and game playback.
- HUAWEI XXXX Hands-Free AG Audio is the call channel of the earbuds, which is for virtual calls on apps such as WeChat and Skype.
- Media and call channels are no longer separately displayed in the input and output device lists in Windows 11.

- If the issue persists, restore the earbuds to their factory settings, restart the PC, and pair them again.
- There may be compatibility issues with certain PCs. Contact the PC vendor for more information.
