Problem

Earbuds experience audio lags when playing audio or video on a non-HUAWEI phone (such as Xiaomi, OPPO, vivo, Samsung, or iOS phone) that is in Low-latency gaming mode.

Cause

When Low-latency gaming mode is enabled, the earbuds preferentially transmit signals for games, while reducing priority of other audio resources for the transmission of music and video, causing audio lags.

Solution

Enable Low-latency gaming mode only for playing games, and disable it when playing audio or video as follows, to improve your experience.

• FreeBuds earphones: Open the AI Life app, access the earphone card, go to Settings, and disable Dynamic latency.
• WATCH Buds earbuds: Open the Health app, going to Device, access the device details screen, and go to Earphone management > Settings > Dynamic latency.
