How to do a factory reset

If your smartphone is not running as smoothly as it used to or you experience various issues, a factory reset may be the solution.

This will erase all the data from your device (contacts, accounts, app data and system settings, installed apps, music, photos or other files saved on the internal storage).

Usually, a factory reset will help fix major errors and other operating system related issues.

Back up your data and remove Google accounts

As the factory reset erases all the data on your device, make sure to back up all your important information before performing the procedure.

Make a habit out of removing your Google account(s) before performing a factory reset. This way, you will be able to set up your device even if you have forgotten your Google account details.

After a factory reset, you will be asked to re-enter the Google account previously used on the device.
