Unable to update the firmware or software on my HUAWEI FreeBuds/FreeLace series earbuds |
Refer to Firmware and software update guide for the HUAWEI FreeBuds and FreeLace series earbuds when updating the earbuds' firmware and software. If the update fails, perform the following steps:
- Before updating, make sure that the battery levels of the earbuds and charging case are no less than 20%, otherwise the update may fail.
- For FreeBuds Pro, the battery levels of the earbuds and the charging case should be no less than 30% , and for FreeBuds Studio, the battery level should be no less than 10%.
- Single earbuds do not support firmware updates.
- Place your earbuds and phone/tablet together (within 50 cm of each other) and keep them away from sources of strong electromagnetic interference, such as microwave ovens and WLAN routers.
- Reset the earbuds or restore them to their factory settings, pair them with your device again, and update the earbuds.
To update a pair of FreeLace earbuds running version 1.0.0.137 or earlier, first attach the earbuds.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Thanks for your feedback.
