The indicators of the power bank do not work properly

Problem

Cause

The battery level is not displayed accurately.

Theoretically, each indicator represents 25% of the battery level, but the actual battery level may vary. The battery level is based on the current and time. When the charging and discharging currents are different, the indicated duration for the power bank will vary. It is normal for the indicators to remain on for different periods of time.

The indicator status still indicates that the device is being charged even when the battery level on the phone has reached 100%.

The power bank can only stop the power output when the current is below the preset value for more than 90 seconds. Some phone models are still in the final charging state when the battery level has reached 100%, and the current may be greater than the preset value.

The indicators do not turn green until it has charged a device that supports fast charging for a while.

It takes about 6 seconds to complete the fast charging protocol communication.

The indicators do not turn off immediately when disconnecting the phone after charging.

The power bank is designed to remain working for 6 seconds after being disconnected from a mobile device.

Not all four indicators turn on immediately after disconnecting and reconnecting the power bank once fully charged

If you remove the charging cable after the power bank is fully charged, the voltage of the power bank will drop slightly due to the characteristics of the lithium-ion battery in the power bank. If you insert the cable again, the system will consider that the power bank is not fully charged. If the voltage and current reach the preset value after a short period of time, the system will consider that the power bank is fully charged and all four indicators will turn on.

The phone is still in fast charging mode after being fully charged and the indicators of the power bank are steady white.

This is determined by the phone.

The phone disables the fast charging signal when fully charged. In this case, the power bank will stop charging the phone with a fast charging output and will reduce its output voltage to 5 V, but the phone will still be in fast charging mode.

The indicator of the power bank does not turn green when the phone is in fast charging mode

When using the power bank to charge a phone that supports 9 V/2 A fast charging, the phone screen is on and indicates that the phone is in fast charging mode, but the indicators of the power bank do not indicate fast charging. The charging system of the phone may have limited the charging speed to control the amount of heat that is generated. In this case, the power bank will automatically resume fast charging and its indicators will turn green again after the phone screen turns off.

If the problem persists, take your power bank and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
