    During the effective period of the Accidental Damage Protection Service (Folding Products), if the screen of HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 device is broken, cracked or malfunction occurs due to cases of accidental drops, impacts, squeezes or liquid penetration you can use the Accidental Damage Protection Service (Folding Products) for repair to be used once.
  • 2.How do I use the Accidental Damage Protection Service Benefit when my device screen is broken?
    Please send the faulty unit and a valid proof of purchase directly to any HUAWEI Authorized Service Center within South Africa for the repair service.
  • 3.Can the Accidental Damage Protection Service be re-purchased after the 1 year period?
    A device can only be purchased once with the Accidental Damage Protection Service and cannot be re-purchased after the 1 year period.
  • 4.How is the warranty period for my device calculated after I use the Accidental Damage Protection Service?
    If only the screen or back cover of the device is damaged and there are no other faults, you can continue to enjoy the remaining warranty period. If the device has been tampered with, repaired, liquid-filled, bent or deformed, you cannot continue to benefit from the original factory warranty.

Promotion Terms And Conditions
1 September 2022 – 30 November 2022

1. Introduction

1.1 This Promotion (“Promotion”) is organised by HUAWEI Services (Hong Kong) Co., Limited, a Limited Liability Company established in Hong Kong (hereafter “HUAWEI Services HK”) together with HUAWEI Technologies Africa Proprietary Limited, a company incorporated in accordance with the laws of the Republic of South Africa (“HUAWEI Africa”) (HUAWEI Services HK and HUAWEI Africa shall be referred to as “HUAWEI” or the “Organiser/s”).

1.2 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.

1.3 Employees, directors and agents of HUAWEI Services HK or HUAWEI Africa, and all HUAWEI participating stores, their immediate families, life partners, business partners and associates and any person directly involved with the sponsoring, devising, production, management or marketing of this Promotion are not eligible to participate in this Promotion.

1.4 By entering the Promotion, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organizers and the Organizers decision regarding any issue will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

1.5 This Promotion will run from 1 September 2022 – 30 November 2022, (both dates inclusive) (the “Promotion Period”).

1.6 The Promotion deals exclusively with the Promotion Participants who purchase the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2.

1.7 The Organizers will be running a Promotion whereby Promotion Participants who purchase the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 and follow the steps outlined in clause 2 below during the Promotion Period will receive:
a) free 200GB (two hundred gigabytes) of HUAWEI Mobile Cloud Storage for 3 (three) months; and
b) free HUAWEI Music Premium subscription for 12 (twelve) months; and
c) free HUAWEI Video+ subscription for 12 (twelve) months.
(collectively referred to as “Promotion Gift”)

1.8 By participating in this Promotion, Promotion Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

1.9 By subscribing to the Promotion, Promotion Participants who are currently on the higher package of 200GB (200 Gigabyte) will not be able to downgrade subscriptions.

1.10 The Promotion Gift is valid from the date of registering as per clause 1.7, provided this done during the Promotion Period.

1.11 If Promotion Participants are already on the higher package of 200GB (200 Gigabyte), Promotion Participants are not permitted to benefit from Promotion Gift.

1.12 The Promotion is limited to Promotion Participants who purchase the HUAWEI Mate Xs 2 during the Promotion Period and that comply with the requirements set out below at clause 2.

2. Claiming the Promotion

2.1 To successfully register for the Promotion and benefit from the Promotion Gift, Promotion Participants must –

2.1.1 For HUAWEI Cloud subscription:
a) Visit HUAWEI Cloud by scanning the QR code or clicking on the advertising banner in Member Center;
b) Open the H5 page;
c) Click on “Claim Now”;
d) If you do not have a bundle payment then you need to apply bundle payment first;
e) To check your new storage space, from Cloud system click on your account and click Cloud; and
f) The subscription will automatically be renewed after 3 (three) months and can be cancelled at any time as set out in Annexure A.

2.1.2 For HUAWEI Music subscription:
a) Visit HUAWEI Music by scanning the QR code or clicking on the advertising banner in Member Center;
b) Open the H5 page;
c) Click on “Claim Now”;
d) Click “use”;
e) Copy the code and redeem it in HUAWEI Music; and
f) The subscription will automatically be renewed after 12 (twelve) months and can be
cancelled at any time as set out in Annexure A.

2.1.3 For HUAWEI Video
Visit HUAWEI Music by scanning the QR code or clicking on the advertising banner in Member Center;
b) Open the H5 page;
c) Click on “Claim Now”;
d) Click “use”;
e) Copy the code and redeem it in HUAWEI Video; and
f) The subscription will automatically be renewed after 12(twelve) months, and can be
cancelled at any time as set out in Annexure A.

2.2 All personal information of the Promotion Participants will be strictly made use of to provide the Promotions Gift and will be stored in a secure repository and not transferred to any third party save for the purposes of delivery of the Promotional Gift. 3. Terms and Conditions Related to the Promotion Gift

a. This Promotion is only open to HUAWEI ID users who’s HUAWEI ID is registered in South Africa.

b. The Promotion Gift is limited to 1 (one) purchase of a HUAWEI Mate Xs 2.

c. The Promotion Gift must be activated by 30 November 2022. Should the Promotion Participant fail to activate the Promotion Gift within this period, the Promotion Gift will be forfeited.

d. Promotion Gift redemption process is set out in clause 2.

4. General Terms and Conditions

4.1 The Promotion is valid for the Promotion Period only Promotion Participants that comply with the requirements set out at clause 2.

4.2 Claiming the Promotion Gift must be completed before 30 November 2022.

4.3 The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organizers.

4.4 The Promotion, the Promotions Gift, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organizers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organizers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organizers as a result of any alterations of the terms and conditions.

4.5 The Organizers reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Promotion for technical or commercial or operational reasons or for the greater public good or due to a “force majeure” event or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion, on condition that the Organizers notify the Promotion Participants in a manner that is expedient according to its best ability.

4.6 The Promotion, the Promotion Gift, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the Promotion, and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organizers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organizers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organizers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.

4.7 The Organizers reserve the right to amend the rules and/or terminate this Promotion immediately at any stage, whether required as a result of changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority, or within the sole discretion of the Organizers for any reason (recognized in law). Notice of such termination shall be published on the Organizers Promotions Website. In such event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organizers whatsoever. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organizers. No participants shall have any recourse against the Organizers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.

4.9 In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

4.10 User data shall be processed for lawful purposes directly related to the running of this Promotion including but not limited to any administrative matters to facilitate the management and organizing of this Promotion as well as delivering the Promotion Gift/s to the Promotion Recipient/s. Any personal data provided is retained no longer than 12 months after the Promotion. Data collected via the Promotion will not be used for any other purpose other than for the Promotion only in accordance with the Organizers’ Privacy Policy –The duration of the Promotion may be extended or curtailed at the discretion of the Organizers.

4.11 HUAWEI Services HK processes and uses any personal data as provided by the Participants for the purpose of participation in this Promotion in line with the local applicable laws and the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486) (“PDPO”). The data shall be processed for lawful purposes directly related to the running of this Promotion including but not limited to any administrative matters to facilitate the management and organizing of this Promotion as well as delivering the Promotion Gift to the Promotion Recipient.

4.12 The Organisers are not liable for any technical failures affecting participation and / or Promotion Gift redemption process of the Promotion.

4.13 The Organisers shall not be liable for taxes or any costs incurred by the Promotion Recipient for entering the Promotion or in claiming the Promotion Gift.

4.14 Neither the Organisers, nor any other person or party associated with the Promotion, their associated companies, agents, contractors and sponsors and any of its personnel involved in the Promotion, shall be liable whatsoever for any loss or damage incurred or suffered (including but not limited to direct or indirect or consequential loss), death or personal injury suffered or sustained arising from either participation in the Promotion or from claiming the Promotion Gift or after claiming the Promotion Gift.

4.15 In addition, neither the Organizers, nor their agents shall be responsible for any loss or misdirected entries, including entries that were not received due to any failure of hardware, software, or other computer or technical systems affecting participating and/or prize redemption process of the Competition.

4.16 The Organisers may refuse to award the Promotion Gift if these Terms and Conditions have not been adhered to or if it detects any irregularities or fraudulent practices. The Organisers are entitled in their entire discretion to reject any Promotion Recipient for any reason and will not be obliged to notify the Promotion Recipient that they are rejected.

4.17 Please be advised that all materials posted on site are subjected to public downloading and viewing of third party viewers. All intellectual property rights contained in the apps, theme(s), etc. for the purpose of this Promotion shall be owned by HUAWEI Services HK.

4.18 This Promotion will be conducted, managed and operated under the laws of the Republic of South Africa and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.



Annexure A – Cancellation of Subscription

HUAWEI Cloud Go to Settings > Log in with HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Upgrade cloud storage space > Manage subscription > Subscription and touch Cancel subscription.
HUAWEI Music Go to Settings > Account center > Payment and purchases > Subscriptions/Password-free payments and touch the service you require to cancel subscriptions.
HUAWEI Video Go to Settings > Log in with HUAWEI ID > Cloud > Upgrade cloud storage space > Manage subscription > Subscription and touch Cancel subscription.
