HUAWEI Care + Promotion Terms & Conditions

1. Introduction

1.1 HUAWEI Care + ("Promotion") is organized and managed by HUAWEI Technologies Africa (Pty) Ltd ("HUAWEI"), including affiliates and subsidiaries (collectively referred to as the "Organizers").

1.2 This Promotion is comprised of:

• 1(one) year Care+Accidental Damage Protection OR;

• 2(two)Year HUAWEI Care+Accidental Damage Protection

1.3 The Promotion is open for entry by all South African residents of 18 years and older with a valid South African identity document or Smart Card.

1.4 By entering the Promotion, all Participants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions, which will be interpreted by the Organizers and the Organizers decision regarding any issue will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered.

1.5 This Promotion is ongoing.

1.6 The Promotion deals exclusively with HUAWEI Authorized Service Centers, HUAWEI Experience Stores & Online stores within the Republic of South Africa.

1.7 Only Promotion devices as set out in https://consumer.huawei.com/za/support/service-benefit-watch-gt4/ will qualify for this Promotion.

1.8 HUAWEI Care+ Accidental Damage Protection provides extra protection for replacement of the original HUAWEI components, spare parts damage in caused by accidental drops, impacts, squeezes or liquid penetration.

1.9 This Promotion is only applicable to certain HUAWEI devices.

1.10 Theft and loss are excluded.

1.11 You can purchase HUAWEI Care+ for HUAWEI Devices which are purchased from any authorized sale point in South Africa, ASC-E – Accredited Service Centre within South Africa on the Online Stores.

1.12 Before redeeming the HUAWEI Care+ at an ASC-E – Accredited Service Centre Promotion Participants will pay a cost of R350 (three hundred and fifty Rand) (including Vat) for labour charges.

1.13 Before redeeming the Care+ at the Online Store Promotion Participants will pay a cost of R350 (three hundred and fifty Rand) (including Vat) for labour charges and then redeem the HUAWEI Care+ at an ASC-E – Accredited Service Centre

1.14 Customers can enjoy HUAWEI Care+ Services by visiting any of the HUAWEI Authorized Customer Service Centers, or by contacting us on 0860 861 111 to enjoy Free Postal Service.

2. Promotion Details

1. 1-year Care+ Accidental Damage Protection

1.1 1 (One-year Accidental Damage Protection allows customers to claim for screen replacement during the first year from date of purchase of the HUAWEI device. It offers customers only 1 (one) replacement during the first year from the date of purchase of the device. Only 1 (one) claim in the first year from the date of purchase for Watches, this protection does not include the Watch Strap.

1.2 Before redeeming the HUAWEI Care+ at an ASC-E – Accredited Service Centre Promotion Participants will pay a cost of R350 (three hundred and fifty Rand) (including Vat) for labour charges.

1.3 Promotion includes Free Lifetime Software Support

2. 2-year Care+ Accidental Damage Protection

2.1 There can only be 2(two) screen replacements, one (1) claim during the first year from date of purchase of the device and one (1) claim during the second year from date of purchase of the device.

2.2 Free Battery Replacement can only be claimed once in the second year.

2.3 Extended Warranty for 1 (one) year.

2.4 Promotion includes Free Lifetime Software Support.

3. General Terms and Conditions

3.1 The Promotion is Ongoing.

3.2 The Promotion Period may be extended or reduced at the discretion of the Organisers.

3.3 The Promotion, and any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the terms and conditions.

3.4 The Organisers reserve the right to extend, reasonably shorten or suspend the time period of the Promotion for technical or commercial or operational reasons or for the greater public good or due to a "force majeure" event or generally for any reason whatsoever within their sole discretion, on condition that the Organisers notify the Promotion Participants in a manner that is expedient according to its best ability.

3.5 The Promotion, any terms and/or conditions surrounding it may be amended by reasonable notification at any time during the Promotion, and will be applied and interpreted in the sole discretion of the Organisers. Such altered terms and conditions shall become effective immediately after being altered or on such date as may be determined by the Organisers. No Promotion Participants shall have any recourse against the Organisers as a result of any alterations of the Terms and Conditions.

3.6 The Organisers reserve the right to amend the rules and/or terminate this Promotion immediately at any stage, whether required as a result of changes in legislation, or if required by any national, provincial or municipal authority, or within the sole discretion of the Organisers for any reason (recognized in law). Notice of such termination shall be published on the Organisers Promotions Website. In such event, all Participants waive any rights that they may have/purport to have in terms of this Promotion and acknowledge that they will have no recourse against the Organisers whatsoever.

3.7 In the event of a dispute in regard to any aspect of the Promotion and/or the Terms and Conditions, the Organiser’s decision will be final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into.

3.8 All Promotion Participants indemnify the Organisers, their associated and subsidiary companies, and their directors, officers and employees, against any and all claims for any loss or damages, whether direct, indirect, consequential or otherwise, arising from any cause whatsoever from the Promotion Participants participation in any way whatsoever in this Promotion.

3.10 South African law shall govern these Promotion rules and the courts of South Africa shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
