Wi-Fi is disabled after the phone is configured as a Portable Wi-Fi hotspot

Cause:

This is normal and does not indicate an issue with your phone. When connected to a Wi-Fi network, your phone is a receiver. When you configure your phone as a Portable Wi-Fi hotspot, your phone becomes a transmitter. A phone cannot work as both a receiver and a transmitter at any given time.
