Photos and videos look abnormally bright or dark

Photos and videos look abnormally bright or dark |
Problem:
The photos or videos taken on the phone come out looking washed out or overly dark.
Cause:
- This may be due to complex lighting conditions at the location where you took the photo or video.
- The exposure time may have been changed by accident in Pro photo mode.
Solution:
- Choose a suitable place and angle to take your photos. If you take photos in an area where there is a strong contrast between bright and dark areas, your photos may suffer from overexposure or underexposure. Try changing the angle of your shot or moving to a different location. Avoid taking pictures in direct sunlight or with other strong light sources shining directly at the lens. You can also adjust the brightness manually before you take a photo. In the viewfinder, touch and hold the screen until the sun icon appears, then drag the sun up or down to adjust the brightness to your preferred level.
- Readjust the exposure settings in Pro photo mode. If the exposure time set in Pro photo mode is too long, your photos will appear washed out. If the exposure time is too short, your photos will appear overly dark. Swipe right on the viewfinder to enter the mode selection screen, then touch Pro photo mode and change the exposure settings or switch to another shooting mode.
- If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and the proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
