My phone heats up during phone calls

Problem:

The phone's rear cover or screen heats up during a call.

Cause:

The heat generated during phone calls is related to the signal strength:

  • During a call, the RF component, screen, speaker, and receiver of your phone work at the same time. Therefore, it is normal that your phone generates more heat compared to when handling other tasks.
  • If the network signal is unstable, your phone will increase the signal transmission power and heat up.

Solution:

  • Try to make phone calls in places where the signal is strong.
  • Avoid keeping the screen on for a long time, as this may cause your phone to overheat.
  • If the call duration is long, use a headset to prevent the earpiece or speaker from heating up.
  • Do not make phone calls when the phone is being charged. Phones heat up during charging, and making phone calls at the same time will result in overheating.
