The protective film is rough, scratched, or smudged at the edges |
Scenario 1: The screen frame feels rough
Due to the thickness of the protective film, it is normal for its edges to feel slightly rough when you swipe your finger across the screen edges. This does not indicate an issue with the screen frame and please do not be concerned.
Scenario 2: The surface of the protective film is scratched
The protective film is made of polymer materials so that it can be ideally attached to the screen surface. It will get scratched if placed with hard or abrasive objects, such as keys.
- Avoid placing your phone with hard objects, such as keys and metal decorations, to prevent possible scratches.
- If the protective film is affecting your ability to use the phone normally, it is recommended that you replace it with a new one.
Scenario 3: Dust is trapped along the protective film edges
Some phones use a 2.5D curved glass screen. To prevent the protective film from being detached from the curved edge, a small gap is reserved between the protective film and the glass screen edge, which may lead to dust accumulating in this area. It is recommended that you use a clean soft cloth to wipe clean the edges wherever needed.
Scenario 4: Dust is trapped along the edges of the protective film cutout for the front camera
The cutout is made so as not to block the front camera. It is likely that dust may accumulate in the cutout area after using your phone for a period of time. It is recommended that you use a clean soft cloth to wipe clean the cutout area whenever needed.
