Smart cover is not automatically disabled when I open the flip cover |
If your phone or tablet does not exit Smart cover mode or the screen is partially turned on after you open the flip cover, perform the following to troubleshoot:
Smart cover mode works based on the Hall effect sensor, which determines whether the flip cover is closed by sensing the magnetic field of the magnet on the cover. The Hall effect sensor is a magnetic field sensor made according to the theory of the Hall effect, which can sense changes of a surrounding magnetic field and has good anti-interference performance.
Make sure that there is no strong magnetic interference around your device
The Hall effect sensor can easily be affected by the surrounding magnetic fields. Abnormalities may occur if your device is close to an object with a strong magnetic field, such as a magnet, a microwave oven, or induction cooker.
Check whether you are using an official Huawei flip cover
A non-official flip cover may cause magnetic field interference due to its incorrect magnet position or size. It is recommended that you use an official Huawei flip cover.
