An exclamation mark is displayed on the Wi-Fi icon, but the phone can access the Internet normally.

  • If the arrow mark for mobile data services is displayed:

The phone has switched to Mobile data automatically, and the arrow mark for Mobile data services is displayed, while an exclamation mark is displayed on the Wi-Fi icon.

  • If the arrow mark for mobile data services is not displayed as mobile data is disabled:

The display may be abnormal. It is recommended that you reconnect to the Wi-Fi network or touch Restart now on your phone, then check whether the Wi-Fi icon returns to normal. If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.

An exclamation mark is displayed on the Wi-Fi icon, indicating that the network is unavailable

  1. Restart the router and try again.
  2. Restore your phone to its factory settings and try again. Open Settings, search for Reset network settings, then touch Reset network settings. (This operation will clear Wi-Fi and Bluetooth data.)
  3. Contact your broadband service provider to check whether the local network is faulty.

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
