Problem
The user can only find Microsoft Edge, and cannot find Internet Explorer on the computer. When the user searches for "Internet Explorer" in Cortana Search, they are unable to find it.
Solution
Press Win+I to open Settings, click Apps > Apps & features > Manage optional features > Add a feature, select Internet Explorer 11, and wait until the installation is complete.
You can also perform the following steps:
- Enter Control Panel in Cortana Search in the lower left corner of the taskbar to display the Control Panel page.
- Click Programs > Programs and Features > Turn Windows features on or off.
- Check Internet Explorer 11, click OK, and restart your computer.
- Check whether you can now find Internet Explorer in Cortana Search.
- If the issue persists, download and reinstall Internet Explorer from the Microsoft official website. Link: https://www.microsoft.com/en-US/download/details.aspx?id=41628
Note: It is recommended that you back up data and press F10 to restore the system. Please note that restoring the computer to its factory settings will clear all data in the C drive, including personal files in Desktop, Downloads, and Documents. Please back up your important data in the C drive.
