Enabling or disabling Game Mode on a Windows computer

The system optimizes your gaming experience when Game Mode is enabled. When you run a game, the mode:

  • Disables Windows updates and restart notifications.
  • Optimizes the frame rate according to the specific demands of the game and system.

Enable or disable Game Mode

  1. Click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon.

  2. Click Gaming then Game Mode, and enable Game Mode.
