Use Translator

To access Translator screen:

1. Click the Windows icon and click Translator.

   

2. Click X in the top-right corner on the welcome screen to enter the translate screen. Check Don’t show this again in the bottom-left corner if you do not want to see the welcome screen next time. Click X again to close the welcome screen.

Use the translate function

If you want to use the translate function offline, download the specific language packs in advance.

Four translation methods are available: Text, Voice, Image, and Ink.

• Text: Click Text, select the source and target language. Enter the text and Translator will automatically translate the text for you.
• Voice: Click Voice and select the source and target language. Click the microphone button or press Ctrl and space key at the same time, speak out the content you want to translate. Click the microphone button or press Ctrl + space key again to stop the translate process.
  

  Ensure that the translate app has been granted access to the microphone. To grant access permission, click the microphone button or press Ctrl + space key and select OK. You can also click the Windows icon and then the Settings icon, and go to Privacy > Microphone to grant permissions for the microphone.

• Image: Click Image and select the source and target language. Click the Open icon and select the image which you want to translate. Translated content will be displayed automatically.
• Ink: Click Ink, and select the source and target language. Use a digital pen, mouse, or stylus to write text that you want to translate. Click Translate and the translated contents will be displayed automatically.
