Use the preinstalled People all in Windows |
People is a preinstalled Windows app that functions like a contacts list. You can add information for friends and family members in People to contact them with ease.
1. Opening the People app
Click the people icon in the bottom-right corner on the taskbar to open the People app.
If you are unable to find this icon, right-click on the taskbar, and select Show People on the taskbar.
2. Adding contacts
Click the more icon at the bottom of the People page and select New contact. Follow the onscreen instructions to add new contacts.
3. Pinning contacts to the taskbar
After you have added new contacts, click the people icon to open the app, then click Find and pin contacts to pin contacts to the taskbar. This provides you with maximum convenience for accessing frequent contacts. To unpin contacts from the taskbar, right-click on the contacts icon and click Unpin from taskbar.
4. Connecting with contacts through email or Skype
Click the contacts icon on the taskbar and start a chat, email or call. For example, if you want to chat with a contact whom you only have email information, click Mail and + at the bottom on the page. Enter the subject and message before sending the email.
5. Unpinning People from the taskbar
Enter Show contacts on the taskbar in the taskbar search box and press Enter. Then disable Show contacts on the taskbar.
