You can only use the USB-C port on the right side of the computer to connect an external device such as a docking station, phone, USB drive, or a video display such as a monitor. It can also be used to transfer data. You cannot use it to charge your computer.

To charge your computer, use the USB-C port (with a charging icon) on the left side.
