After a HUAWEI computer system is restored with F8, drivers go missing, and the touchscreen, Bluetooth, audio, and WLAN functions do not work

Problem

After Windows is restored with the built-in recovery feature, a yellow exclamation mark appears next to some items in Device Manager, indicating missing drivers.

Cause

This issue is caused by the security strategy of the Windows recovery mechanism, and does not indicate a problem with your computer.

Solution

  • Prerequisite: Ensure that the computer can access the Internet through a wired network or use USB tethering with an Android phone.
  • USB tethering: Use a USB cable to connect your Android phone to the computer. On your phone, go to Settings > Mobile network > Personal hotspot > USB tethering. After enabling USB tethering, wait until the network icon in the lower right corner of the computer screen changes to the PC icon and open any website to ensure that you can access the Internet properly. Then reinstall the network adapter driver.
  1. Ensure your computer is connected to the Internet, open Huawei PC Manager, and go to Optimization > Drivers. If there are available driver updates, download and reinstall them.

  2. If the issue persists, back up your data, record your Office account, and use F10 to restore your computer to its factory settings.
