What should I do if a paid app won't open and I am prompted to install the latest version of HUAWEI AppGallery? |
Cause
HUAWEI AppGallery needs to verify your eligibility to open a paid app. The prompt may be displayed due to HUAWEI AppGallery being restricted from running in the background, resulting in it being unable to verify your eligibility.
Solution
- Open HUAWEI AppGallery and confirm that you are logged in to the account that was used to purchase the paid app. Then touch the Home key to return to the home screen (do not use the Back key to directly exit HUAWEI AppGallery) and open the paid app again.
- Optimizer or other security apps may have disabled HUAWEI AppGallery from automatically launching or being launched by other apps. It is recommended that you grant HUAWEI AppGallery the auto-launch or secondary launch permission in your security app and try again.
To grant the permission in Optimizer, go to Launch manager, find AppGallery and the paid app in question, select Manage manually for them, and enable all of the three options: Auto-launch, Secondary launch, and Run in background on the Manage manually pop-up screen.
3. Clear the cache of HUAWEI AppGallery and change your network type, then try again. For example, switch from using mobile data to Wi-Fi, or vice-versa.
