The video ringtone for incoming calls does not work

1 Check whether your phone supports video ringtones.

Open Phone, go to > Settings > Ringtone, and check whether Video ringtones is displayed. If not, it indicates that your phone does not support Video ringtones.

2 Check whether a third-party app is used to dial phone numbers.

Open Settings, search for and access Default apps, and touch Phone. Check whether any third-party app is set as the default Phone app. If so, select the system Contacts app instead. Then clear the background apps and try again.

3 Check whether the video file has been deleted, moved, or renamed.

If you have enabled Video ringtones, and deleted, moved, or renamed the video file, you will need to configure the Video ringtones settings again.

4 Check whether Voice broadcast incoming calls is enabled.

If Voice broadcast incoming calls has been enabled on your phone, and your phone has been connected to another device such as earphones or a watch, a preset ringtone on the connected device will be played when your phone receives an incoming call. Go to Dialer > > Settings > Voice control and disable Voice broadcast incoming calls.

Some phones do not support Voice broadcast incoming calls.

5 Check whether the Storage permission is denied for the Phone app.

Open Settings, then search for and access Apps. Go to > Show system processes and find Phone. Go to Permissions > Storage and set the Storage access permission to Allow.

6 Clear the data from Media Storage.

Open Settings, search for and access Apps, go to > Show system processes > Media Storage > Storage > CLEAR DATA, then configure the Video ringtones settings again.

7 If the issue persists

If the issue persists, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
