Problem

The user enables Real-time protection on the Virus & threat protection settings screen and finds that it takes a long time to decompress a WinRAR package.

Cause

There is a compatibility issue between the system security software (version 1.285.74.0) and Windows version 1903.

Solution

Update the system patch and the system security software to version 1.293.2381.0 or later. Alternatively, turn off the switch under Real-time protection to increase the decompression rate.

To do this, open Virus & threat protection settings from Windows Security or from the bottom-right corner of the desktop.

On the Virus & threat protection screen, click Manage settings then turn on the switch under Real-time protection settings on the Virus & threat protection settings screen.
