Stethoscope effect on HUAWEI earbuds |
The stethoscope effect is common on in-ear earbuds. The earbuds are susceptible to microphones when the cable or earbuds brush up against or come in contact with air or other objects.
A thumping sound can be heard after you wear HUAWEI FreeBuds Studio headphones, as the ear cups and your ear canal form an enclosed space, which resembles wearing a stethoscope. This is a normal phenomenon and does not affect your normal use.
The stethoscope effect is difficult to eliminate, but can be reduced. To reduce the stethoscope effect, try the following:
- Reduce the contact between the earbuds and your clothes. For example, avoid rubbing the earbud cables against your clothing.
- Avoid using ear tips that are too large for your ears. The stethoscope effect will increase when the ear tips fit more tightly in your ears.
