If the issue occurs after you recently bought the watch, take your watch to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance. If the issue occurs after your watch has been used for a period, check your watch by referring to the following figure.
Only HUAWEI WATCH 2 Series and HUAWEI WATCH 3 Series models support recording.
Check whether there are water stains on the speaker hole or microphone hole of your watch
If this is the case, open the drop-down menu, touch Drain, and dry your watch. It is recommended that you avoid water during daily use.
Check whether there are foreign objects on the speaker hole or microphone hole of your watch
If this is the case, use a soft brush to clean the microphone and speaker holes with the holes facing down.
Keep your watch away from substances that may stain or damage it during daily use, such as dust, sand, soil, oil, smoke, soapy water, cosmetics, saltwater, perfume, pesticide, detergent, sun cream, glue, dye, or other acidic and alkaline substances or solvents.
Adjust your watch's position
Your watch's microphone is located on the top of the watch. When speaking, make sure your mouth is facing the watch face, at a distance within 10 cm. If there is much background noise, speak louder or move your mouth closer to the watch face. You need to also keep as close to your phone as possible (approximately within one meter) when you are making a call using your watch.
If the issue persists, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
