When linking with a kids watch, the normal admin does not receive an invitation or the linking fails |
The normal admin doesn't receive the invitation sent by the main admin via SMS message
Security management software, such as Phone Manager and Optimizer, may have blocked the SMS message. It is recommended that you check the blocked SMS message list.
If you can't find the message, perform the following to scan the QR code for linking.
- From the kids watch home screen, press the HOME button/the button or swipe left to enter the function list, touch QR code, and a QR code will display.
- Download and install the HUAWEI FamCare app on your phone. Log in to the app with your HUAWEI ID, touch Scan code, scan the code, and set your relationship with the child.
If you have previously linked with another watch, touch + in the upper right corner of the HUAWEI FamCare home screen to enter the QR code scanning screen.
- Follow the onscreen instructions to send a link request, and you'll be redirected to the HUAWEI FamCare home screen.
- Main admin: You'll be prompted with a normal admin link request in HUAWEI FamCare, and you can touch Agree. Alternatively, touch Communication in the lower part of the app home screen, and go to Notifications > Agree to authorize the normal admin's link request.
Linking fails after the normal admin receives the invitation via SMS message and enters the verification code
Check that the phone number used by the normal admin to register their HUAWEI ID is the same as that the main admin sends the invitation to. Then the normal admin should log in to HUAWEI FamCare with their HUAWEI ID using the exact same phone number and complete the linking.
The main admin needs to re-send the invitation if the last one was sent over 24 hours ago via SMS message.
Make sure that all admins' and the child account's HUAWEI IDs are registered in the same country/region as that set on the kids watch.
