Differences between Clear cloud data, Reset watch, and Unlink |
Clear cloud data will clear all data uploaded to the cloud, including workout data and contacts, but will not restore the watch to its factory settings or unlink the watch.
Reset watch will clear all data from the watch, but will not clear cloud data or unlink the watch. After the watch is restored to its factory settings, it will need to be activated again. The main admin can scan the QR code on the watch to log in to the child's HUAWEI ID, to activate the watch. The normal admins can scan the QR code to link to the watch. The watch will be activated once the main admin approves the linking.
Unlink will unlink your HUAWEI ID in HUAWEI FamCare app from the child's HUAWEI ID on the kids watch. Admins will no longer be able to manage the watch via the HUAWEI FamCare app.
- Only the main admin can restore the watch to its factory settings and clear cloud data.
- When the main admin is unlinking the kids watch: If cloud data is not cleared, data about contacts uploaded to the cloud will not be cleared and the main admin's permissions will need to be transferred. If there are normal admins, the main admin will need to transfer the permissions to another admin. If there are no normal admins, the watch will be automatically restored to its factory settings and restarted after being unlinked. (If the watch is not restored to its factory settings after being unlinked, the watch will not support linking with any admins. In this case, the watch cannot be managed by any admins. Please take your device and proof of purchase to a local service center to have the watch restored to its factory settings.)
