| Adding friends on a HUAWEI kids watch |
- Friends can be added only between HUAWEI kids watches, while non-HUAWEI kids watch users can be added as contacts for calling.
- When a friend request is sent, the main admin will receive a notification from HUAWEI FamCare and can choose to accept or decline the request. Touching Allow or performing no action accepts the request, while touching Deny declines the request and, if applicable, deletes the added friend.
You can add friends in three different ways: shaking both watches when face-to-face, getting friend recommendations, and adding remotely.
Shaking both watches to add as friends when face-to-face
From the watch home screen, press the HOME button to access the app list and touch Add friends, while having your friend stand within 2 meters of you and enter the same screen. Then shake both watches at the same time.
- The shake-to-add-friends feature works only when the kids watches are powered on and connected to the Internet.
- To disable the shake-to-add-friends feature, admins can open HUAWEI FamCare, go to , and turn off the switch for Allow watch to add friends.
- A maximum of 500 friends can be added on a kids watch.
Adding friends from recommendations
- Swipe left twice on the watch home screen to enter the Chats or MeeTime screen, and touch More to access the MeeTime message list.
- Hold down on a chat box, touch Send to friend, select a friend, and touch Send.
- Upon receiving the recommendation, you can touch the corresponding message notification on your kids watch to enter the Chats screen, select the recommended card, and touch Add friend.
- Once the recommended user receives the friend request, they can touch Agree to accept the request.
This friend recommendations feature cannot be disabled.
Adding friends remotely
- Admins: Go to HUAWEI FamCare > , and add a kids watch user's phone number as a contact.
Swipe left twice on the watch home screen to access the Chats screen. In the chat list, touch Find friends and add the target contact as a friend.
- Once the target contact receives the friend request, they can touch Agree to accept the request.
- When adding a kids watch user's phone number as a contact, the number should be the same phone number used to log in to their HUAWEI ID.
- To disable the remote friend-adding feature, the main admin can go to HUAWEI FamCare > , and disable Allow others to add them through Contacts.
Deleting a friend
In the HUAWEI FamCare app:
Admins: Go to , select the contact in question, and touch Delete contact.
On a kids watch:
Swipe left on the watch home screen to access the Chats screen, touch and hold the friend in question, and select Delete friend.
Only friends can be removed on a kids watch, while admins and contacts need to be deleted in HUAWEI FamCare.
