My band automatically enters or exits a workout when I wear it in Foot mode

Problem

When the user wears their band in Foot mode, the band will automatically enter or exit the workout screen.

Cause

In general, if the band is not properly attached to the shoe buckle, or the shoe lace is too thick, the band may start or exit a workout due to mistouches of the screen.

Solution

Perform the following operations:

  • Make sure that the charging metal contact points of the band are aligned with the metal spring in the shoe buckle for it to be aligned correctly. Attach your band to shoe laces that are not too thick.
  • We recommend that you open the Huawei Health app, touch Devices and your paired device, go to Wearing mode > Switch wearing mode, and set Wearing mode to Manual to reduce the probability of mistouches occurring.
  • We will continue to optimize our algorithms. We recommend that you update your band and the Huawei Health app at your earliest convenience for a better user experience.
  • If this issue occurs frequently, take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
