The Wi-Fi is slow or becomes patchy after I use Huawei Share OneHop with my computer |
Problem 1
After the user uses Huawei Share OneHop with the computer, the wireless transmission rate becomes slow, the Wi-Fi browsing speed is slow, or the video freezes when using Wi-Fi to play videos.
Problem 2
When the Huawei Share OneHop is used with the computer and the phone disconnects from the computer because the distance between the phone and the computer exceeds the connection range, the user then connects the phone to the computer again using the Huawei Share OneHop but feels that the network rate becomes slower and the system is lagging.
Cause
This is because the phone disconnected from the computer via Huawei Share OneHop, and not because you disconnected both devices. The devices disconnected because the phone was powered off, Bluetooth on the phone was disabled, or the phone went too far away from the computer, resulting in the phone disconnecting even though it was still displayed as connected on the computer. In this scenario, the computer will attempt to connect the phone periodically, resulting in the Wi-Fi resources being occupied and the Wi-Fi rate becoming slower.
Solution
- Connect your computer to a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.
- Disconnect your phone from the computer via PC Manager if you are not using Huawei Share OneHop. Double-click the PC Manager icon on the bottom-right corner to open PC Manager, then click My Phone and Disconnect to disconnect your phone from the computer.
- Check whether the PC Manager version on your computer is running the latest version. If not, update PC Manager to the latest version.
- Check whether the Wi-Fi driver on your computer is running the latest version. If not, use PC Manager to update the Wi-Fi driver and Bluetooth driver to the latest version.
