Viewing and managing devices connected to the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi
Viewing and managing devices connected to the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi |
After Wi-Fi access control is enabled, you can set the Wi-Fi of the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to blocklist mode or trustlist mode as required. In blocklist mode, devices in the blocklist cannot connect to the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi. In trustlist mode, only devices in the trustlist can connect to the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi. Setting the Wi-Fi blocklist and trustlist enhances network security. The HUAWEI Mobile WiFi can restrict user access even if someone knows your Wi-Fi name and password.
Method 1: Using the AI Life app
- Connect your phone to the network of the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi.
- Open the AI Life app on your phone.
- On the home screen of the app, touch the target HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to access the management screen. Then touch Devices.
- On the Devices screen, find the device that you want to block in the Online list or Offline list, toggle off the Allow access to Wi-Fi switch of the device, and touch OK. The device is then blocked and cannot connect to the Wi-Fi. After the device is blocked, you can view it in the Blocked list on the Devices screen.
- You cannot block the device marked with "[Me] xxx" in the Online list, as it is the device on which you are using the AI Life app.
- If you want to remove a device from the blocklist, find the device in the Blocked list on the Devices screen, touch the device, and toggle on the Allow access to Wi-Fi switch.
Method 2: Using the web-based management page to enable Wi-Fi MAC Filter
- Connect your phone to the network of the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi. Enter 192.168.8.1 in the address bar of the phone's browser, and enter the login password of the web-based management page to log in.
- Go to Advanced > Wi-Fi > Wi-Fi MAC Filter. Enable Wi-Fi MAC Filter. Set the HUAWEI Mobile WiFi to blocklist mode (Block the access of devices in the list) or trustlist mode (Allow the access of devices in the list) as required.
- Set Filter mode to Block or Allow, and click to add Wi-Fi devices to the Wi-Fi MAC Address List. Then click Save.
- After the devices are added, you can view them in the Wi-Fi MAC Address List.
- If you do not want to use the blocklist or trustlist feature, disable Wi-Fi MAC Filter.
