Problem
- The computer frequently crashes during use.
- The user presses the Power button or any other key on the keyboard after the computer has been in Hibernation mode for a period of time, the FN indicator on the keyboard is on, but the screen is off. That is, the computer cannot wake up from Hibernation mode. In this case, the user can only press and hold the Power button to restart the computer.
Cause
There is a compatibility issue with the BIOS of the computer.
Solution
Update the BIOS version of the MateBook 13 2020 (WrightB) and MateBook 14 2020 (KelvinC) to 1.16 or later.
Method 1: Use PC Manager to update the BIOS to the latest version.
Open PC Manager, go to Drivers > Check, and then update the BIOS.
Method 2: Download the latest BIOS version from the official Huawei consumer website.
If the latest BIOS version is not detected in PC Manager, download the latest BIOS version of the corresponding model from the official Huawei website:

Method 3:
If the issue persists, update your computer system to the version 2004 (20H1) or use F10 to restore the system after backing up your data. If this does not work, back up your data and take your device and proof of purchase to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.
Restoring the computer to its factory settings will clear all data in the C drive, including personal files downloaded to Desktop, Downloads, and Documents. Please back up any important data in the C drive in advance.
To update the system, click the Windows icon in the lower left corner and go to Settings > Update & Security > Windows Update and check for updates.
