Unable to connect my speaker to my phone via Bluetooth

You can perform the following operations to troubleshoot:

  1. Check whether the speaker is connected to a power supply and is working properly.
  2. Check whether the ring indicator on the top of the speaker is breathing blue. If not, the speaker cannot be detected by other devices.
  3. On the My devices screen of the HUAWEI AI Life app, touch the speaker's card, and touch Settings >Bluetooth management and check if Security mode is enabled. If enabled, disable it.
  4. On the My devices screen of the HUAWEI AI Life app, touch the speaker's card, and touch Settings and check if Bluetooth is enabled. If not, enable it.

4. Use either of the following methods to restart Bluetooth on the speaker:

  • Press and hold the call button on the speaker then release it when you can hear a tone indicating that Bluetooth is disabled. Then press and hold the call button again. When the speaker plays a tone indicating that Bluetooth is enabled, and the ring indicator on the speaker turns breathing blue, connect your phone to the speaker via Bluetooth.
  • Enable NFC and Bluetooth on your phone, and touch the phone against the NFC/Share icon on the top of the speaker to turn on the speaker's Bluetooth.

5. Check whether the speaker is too far away from your phone. If the speaker is too far away from your phone or there is a wall between the speaker and your phone, the speaker's Bluetooth signal may be too weak to detect.

6. Check whether your phone is connected to another Bluetooth device. If so, disconnect that device and try connecting your speaker again.

7. Check whether Bluetooth on your phone is working properly. If not, disable and enable the phone's Bluetooth, and try again.

8. Restart your phone, enable Bluetooth, and search for and connect to the speaker again.

9. Try to connect the speaker to another phone via Bluetooth.

10. If you still cannot connect to the speaker, go to an authorized Huawei Customer Service Center for assistance.

The speaker can be updated for a better user experience. Please update your speaker to the latest version in a timely manner. The update usually takes about 5 to 10 minutes. During the update, ensure that your phone is connected to the speaker over Bluetooth and the network connection is stable. Do not exit the update screen. You will not be able to use your speaker during the update.
