Setting the computer during the first startup

Each computer model may have different factory-installed Windows 10 versions such as version 2004 or 1907. Actual operations may vary depending on the computer model and build. Please refer to the actual product.

  1. After you press the Power button, the Welcome screen will then be displayed. Cortana will play a voice introduction about Windows 10. Please wait for the introduction to finish.

  2. Enter the Basics screen. You can select the appropriate settings for the region and keyboard layout.

  3. Then enter the Account screen
    1. Click Accept to acknowledge that you have read and agreed to the user agreement.

    2. Enter your account and your password, click Next, confirm that your password is correct, and follow the onscreen instructions to answer the security questions.

    3. If your computer supports fingerprint login, you will be directed to a fingerprint configuration screen (the Windows Hello screen) after setting up your account and password.

    4. Set a PIN. If you want to include special characters for your PIN, please select the "Include letters and symbols" option.

  4. Then enter the Service screen.
    1. Enable your preferred settings and click Accept on the Choose privacy settings for your device screen.

    2. Click Yes on the Do more across devices with activity history screen.

    3. Click Accept on the Let Cortana help you get things done screen. Wait for a period of time until the system configuration is complete.

  5. Click Enable and continue on the Enable auto-updates? screen. You can then enter the system to use your computer.
