Connecting the kids watch to a Wi-Fi network

Configuring a Wi-Fi network in the HUAWEI FamCare app

  1. Open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch in the upper right corner of the home screen, touch Watch Wi-Fi, and follow the onscreen instructions to enable Wi-Fi and GPS on your phone. A list of available Wi-Fi networks will then be displayed.
  2. Select a Wi-Fi network, enter the password, and touch OK.
  3. You can also touch Add network at the bottom of the list of available Wi-Fi networks, enter the name and password of another Wi-Fi network, and touch OK.

Configuring a Wi-Fi network on the watch

  1. Press the Home button when on the home screen of the watch to enter the app list, go to Settings > Wi-Fi, and turn on the switch.
  2. Select a Wi-Fi network from the Wi-Fi list, enter the password, and touch Connect. When the status changes to Connected, it indicates that the watch has connected to the Wi-Fi network.

  • Android phones can display a list of available Wi-Fi networks. (However, if the Wi-Fi hotspot of an admin's phone is used for the watch to connect to and Wi-Fi is not enabled on the phone, the name of the Wi-Fi hotspot will not be displayed and needs to be manually entered.) iOS phones cannot display a list of available Wi-Fi networks and Wi-Fi networks can only be added manually.
  • When the kids watch is not close to an admin, a Wi-Fi network needs to be remotely set up and manually added. Ensure that the watch is within the Wi-Fi coverage and that the Wi-Fi network's name and password are correct.
  • You don't need to enter the Wi-Fi network's password if the network does not have one.
  • A maximum of 50 Wi-Fi networks can be added. If you have added 50 Wi-Fi networks, delete an existing Wi-Fi network before adding a new one.

  • To disconnect from the connected Wi-Fi network, open the HUAWEI FamCare app, touch and hold the Wi-Fi network, and touch the Delete icon. Disabling Wi-Fi is not supported.
