Problem:

When a new message is received, the same notification pops up twice consecutively at the top of the screen of a HUAWEI phone/tablet.

Cause:

Banners under Do Not Disturb options of Messages is enabled.

Solution:

If you want to avoid the second notification, you can disable Banners:

Path 1: Open Settings, search for and go to Apps > Messages > Notifications > Do Not Disturb notifications, and disable Banners or deselect Banners under notification style.

Path 2: Go to Settings > Apps & services > Apps > Messages > Notifications > Other > Banners, and disable Banners.
