Moving apps on the computer to another path

  • You can only move apps that have been installed from Microsoft Store.
  • If you simply copy an app installation folder and paste it in another drive, the app may be unavailable.
  1. Press Win+I to open the Settings screen and select Apps.

  2. In Apps & features, click the three-dot icon next to the desired app.

    • Click Move, select the target drive (for example, DATA (D:)), and click Move.

    • If Move is grayed out or there is no Move button, the app cannot be moved. If you wish to save an app that cannot be moved to another disk, it is recommended that you uninstall the app and install it again. When selecting the installation path, select the desired disk.
