The Microsoft Edge browser does not respond after I connect my computer to a hotspot named with "_\"

Problem

The user names the hotspot with "_\" and connects the computer to the hotspot and uses the Edge browser to go online. The user then disconnects the computer and reconnects the computer to the hotspot again, but finds that the browser does not respond.

Cause

This is an issue with Microsoft Edge.

Solution

• Use another browser and try again.
• Update Microsoft Edge to the latest version and try again. The latest version number is 84.0.522.52.
