Updating the firmware or software on my HUAWEI Eyewear series device

To update the firmware or software, use either of the following methods.

 
  • Before the update, make sure that the eyewear is paired with your device and that the battery level is higher than 20%.
  • Keep the eyewear close to your phone, and the eyewear's features are unavailable during the update.
  • Updated versions cannot be rolled back to earlier versions. Certain features may be added or optimised in the new version. If you notice any issues or have any suggestions about the new version, send your feedback by going to Me > Help & feedback in the AI Life app.

Using AI Life app

You can use the AI Life app to update your HUAWEI Eyewear series device.

  1. Connect the eyewear to your phone/tablet, open the AI Life app, and go to the Home screen.
  2. Select the name of the eyewear to go to its details screen and go to Updates > CHECK FOR UPDATES.
  3. If a new version is available, follow the onscreen instructions to complete the update.

Update via the connected device

The phone/tablet must run EMUI 11.0/HarmonyOS 2.0 or later.

  1. Go to Settings > Bluetooth, find the name of the eyewear in paired devices, touch the icon next to the name, and select Updates.
  2. If a new version is available, touch CHECK FOR UPDATES and follow the onscreen instructions to complete the update.
