Keep the arms of the glasses and your fingers dry and clean.

The presence of water or oil stains may make the glasses less responsive to pinch controls. Make sure that there are no oil stains, sweat, or other smudges on the arms and keep your hands clean and dry.

Ensure that the Bluetooth connection is normal

If the Bluetooth connection is abnormal, the glasses will be insensitive or will not respond when you press and hold the arm of the glasses. In this case, perform the following:

1. Ensure that you wear the glasses properly, and do not wear them on the top of your head.
2. Ensure that the glasses work properly and a prompt tone is played when you put them on.
3. Make sure that the glasses' Bluetooth connection is stable. Try playing music on your phone to check whether sound is coming from both sides of the glasses.

Ensure that the pinch shortcut settings have been set correctly in the corresponding app

If you do not set the feature correctly in the app, the glasses will not respond when you pinch the arm of the glasses. Access Gestures in the AI Life app to configure the settings.

If you are wearing a pair of HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II glasses, configure the settings in the corresponding app. (On the Android device, open the AI Life app and access Gestures. On the iOS device, open the EYEWEAR app and access Device settings.)

Ensure that you pinch the correct area on the arm of the glasses

If you pinch the glasses in the incorrect position, they may not respond. In this case, pinch the left arm of the glasses in the correct position with four fingers on the top, as shown in the following figure.

If you are wearing a pair of HUAWEI X GENTLE MONSTER Eyewear II glasses, pinch the Huawei logo on the left arm of the glasses.

Check how long you pinch and hold the arm

If you pinch and hold the glasses for less than three seconds, the glasses will be insensitive or will not respond. Ensure that you press and hold the glasses for at least three seconds.
