Problem

When the user installs a driver or software on the computer, the message "The third-party INF does not contain digital signature information" displays and the installation fails.

Cause

Windows 10 will not allow software or drivers without digital signature to be installed. If needed, you can disable driver signature enforcement to install and load unsigned drivers.

Solution

1. Click the Windows icon and then the Power button, and press Shift along with a left-click on Restart.

   

2. On successfully performing the above actions, you will be taken to Choose an option. Click Troubleshoot. Alternatively, you can access the Choose an option menu by pressing the F8 key during startup, and then select Troubleshoot.

   

3. In Troubleshoot, select Advanced options.

   

4. In Advanced options, choose Startup Settings.

   

5. Now in Start-up Settings, click the Restart button.

   

6. To install unsigned drivers, press the number key 7 or the function key F7 to select the seventh option, i.e. "Disable driver signature enforcement".
