Double-tapping or pinching the HUAWEI earphones plays music from an unexpected device when dual connection mode is enabled |
Problem
After the user has simultaneously connected the earphones to device A and device B, device A pauses music, and the following situations occur:
- Double-tapping the earphones will play music from device B instead of device A after waking up the earphones and connecting them to devices A and B again.
- Double-tapping the earphones will play music from device B instead of device A after audio services such as making voice calls, playing music, or playing ringtones have finished on device B.
Cause
By default, touch controls of the earphones will play audio from the most recently connected device or the device with audio services running, which results in device B working as the default audio output device in this case.
Solution
- If you are using a HUAWEI phone, pause music on device B, swipe down on the status bar on device A to access Control Panel, switch the audio channel to earphones, and touch the playback button.
- If you are using a non-HUAWEI phone, pause music on device B, swipe down from the status bar on device A, and touch the playback button.
