A message pops up reading Unknown USB Device after I have removed the USB flash drive from the Thunderbolt™ 2 port

Problem

The user inserted a BanQ USB flash drive into the Thunderbolt™ 2 port (near the headset jack), then removed the USB-C drive after the data was transferred. After that, a message popped up on the computer reading Unknown USB Device.

Cause

This issue happens because of an incompatibility issue with the BanQ USB flash drive. You may also not have performed the standard operation when you removed the USB flash drive, resulting in the system not being able to perform the standard system process.

Solution

Solution 1: Use a USB flash drive included in the compatible device list. Use another USB flash drive such as a Kingston or a Samsung USB flash drive.

Solution 2: Exit the system in Safe mode.

Find the device as shown in the following figure in the bottom-right corner on the taskbar, then right-click on the device icon and remove the USB flash drive.
