No sound comes from the power amplifier connected to the Vision via HDMI (ARC)

Solution:

Perform the following steps:

  1. Check whether the connected power amplifier supports HDMI (ARC). If it is supported, go to the next step.
  2. Check whether the HDMI cable is connected correctly. The HDMI2 end is inserted into the Vision while the HDMI OUT (ARC) end is inserted into the power amplifier (speaker).
  3. Remove any other devices, such as Internet boxes or STBs, that are connected to the Vision via HDMI.
  4. Power on the power amplifier. On the Vision home screen, click Input source and check whether the HDMI 2 port is displayed as being connected. If the port is displayed as being connected, it indicates that the power amplifier is connected to the Vision correctly.
  5. On the Vision home screen, go to Settings > Sound > Output and press the right arrow button to select HDMI (ARC). Wait for a few seconds, then press a Volume button on the remote control to see whether the power amplifier plays sound.
  6. Reconnect the HDMI cable and check whether the issue is resolved.
  7. Check whether the HDMI cable works properly by using it on another TV.
  8. Some HDMI cables do not support HDMI (ARC) audio backhaul. Use another HDMI cable (HDMI 2.0 is recommended) and try again.
  9. Check whether the settings of the power amplifier (speaker) are correct, such as if TV mode is selected.
  10. Switch the Vision screen to HDMI2 full-screen mode, then press the settings button on the remote control of the power amplifier to check that the ARC function is enabled. Refer to the following table for the frequently used settings of the power amplifiers.
