Unable to input audio using the Bluetooth earphones connected to the laptop

Problem

Problem 1: After the user connects Bluetooth earphones to the laptop to make calls, audio cannot be input using the Bluetooth earphones.

Problem 2: After the user disconnects the Bluetooth earphones from the laptop and reconnects them again during a call, the Hands-free feature of the earphones does not work and the user can only hear sound but cannot input sound to the earphones.

Problem 3: After the user connects Bluetooth earphones to the laptop, the recording tool provided by the system does not work.

Symptom 4: When the user uses Bluetooth earphones to record a song and play the recording in a karaoke app, the sound is not in sync with the accompaniment.

Cause

The microphone of the laptop is the default device for audio input. This is due to the design of Microsoft Windows 10.

Solution

Right-click the Sound icon in the lower right corner of the desktop. Go to Open Sound settings and select the connected Bluetooth device under Choose your input device.
