Unable to update the Weather app

Unable to update the Weather app

Problem

Data in the Weather app cannot be updated by swiping down on the screen, or Expired is displayed.

Solution

1. Clear the data of the Weather app.

Open Settings, go to Manage apps > Weather > Storage, and touch Clear data and Clear cache.

2. Update the Weather app.

Open AppGallery, search for Weather, and update it for a better experience if a new version is found.

To check whether the app is up-to-date, search for Weather in AppGallery. If Open is displayed on the right, it indicates that the app is up-to-date. If Update is displayed, touch it to update the app.

3. Enable Location Services

Open Settings, search for and touch Location Services, and enable Access my location.

4. Try changing the network.

  • If the app can't be updated over Wi-Fi, but can be updated over Mobile data, the Wi-Fi signal may be poor.
  • If you can't update the app over Mobile data, switch to Wi-Fi, and perform the following:

    Go to Optimizer > Data usage > Network access, touch the three-dot menu in the upper right corner, touch Show system processes, search for Weather, and select Mobile data.
